Secure Our Borders

Both Article 1, Section 8, and Article 4, Section 4 of the Constitution commands the Congress and the U.S. government to “repel against invasions”. In the U.S. Navy, we would call this “Repel Borders”, and it would be essential for the protection and safety of the ship. To allow untold numbers of people onto that ship that had not been vetted or assigned to the ship could lead to insurrection, mutiny or other forms of rebellion designed to change the makeup and function of the ship.

One of the primary purposes for Securing our Borders is to ensure that the “makeup and function” of our ship -our Constitution and our Nation- does not change unless by normal means provided for by the Constitution (Constitutional Amendment or Convention) and not by untold numbers of illegal aliens signing a voter registration card claiming to be U.S. Citizens (when they’re not) and then allowed to vote and have a say in our elections and our government.

It’s bad enough that they totally disregard our laws, Constitution, culture, customs and language, in search of something selfishly better for themselves (in excess of a $Billion sent back to Mexico each year on average) but they have also been given access to “free” health care, education, drivers licenses and even monetary living assistance - all paid for by you and me with our tax dollars.

We just opened up a very nice, brand new bridge (Anzalduas International Bridge) and are on the verge of opening up another new one with Mexico in Donna, Texas. With so many venues for legal access into this country for good and legal purposes, why would anyone try to sneak across our border at a non-official border crossing? In this post-9-11 world, we cannot afford to err on the side of nice, but rather on the side of caution and security.

The upgraded levies and walls are a start, but the only wall system that we have that effectively deters border crossings at that location is in San Diego, California, where Congressman Duncan Hunter was successful in erecting a triple wall that makes it very hard to cross at will (and has stopped all “anchor-baby” traffic at that location).

We need more physical walls, supplemented with proven virtual wall technology, cameras, sensors, flying drones and many more boots on the ground.
